Traditional Chinese Medicine · San Diego
Acupuncture rooted in centuries of wisdom, offered with the care and attention you deserve. We treat the whole person — not just the symptoms.
Our Approach
Chinese medicine doesn't chase symptoms — it asks why they're there. Before we place a single needle, we spend time understanding your whole picture: your sleep, your digestion, your stress, your story.
Every treatment is tailored to your constitution in this moment. Not a protocol. Not a template. You.

The Practitioner
I'm Dr. Mei Lin Chang — a Licensed Acupuncturist and Doctor of Oriental Medicine with over 12 years of clinical practice in San Diego. I trained at Pacific College of Health and Science and completed advanced residency in Shanghai.
My approach is simple: I slow down. Before a needle is ever placed, we talk. I want to understand what keeps you up at night, what drains you, and what your body has been quietly trying to tell you.
Chinese medicine excels at finding the root — the pattern beneath the pattern. That's what I'm looking for in every session.
Patient Stories
I'd had chronic migraines for six years. After four sessions they were almost entirely gone. I was deeply skeptical at first — now I send everyone I know to Still Point.
— Sarah T., Encinitas
Dr. Chang's fertility protocol was a turning point for us. After two years of trying, we conceived naturally three months into treatment. She treated my whole self, not just one symptom.
— Jenna & Mark R., Del Mar
I was averaging four hours of sleep a night for two years. The sleep protocol changed my life. I feel like myself again for the first time in as long as I can remember.
— Daniel K., North Park
Questions
New to acupuncture? Curious about what a session looks like? Here are the questions we hear most often.
Book a ConsultationVery little to none. Acupuncture needles are hair-thin — about 25 times finer than a hypodermic needle. Most people feel a brief heaviness or warmth as the needle settles. Many patients fall asleep on the table.
Acute issues often resolve in 3–6 sessions. Chronic conditions typically take 8–12 sessions. After your intake, you'll receive a clear, honest timeline — no vague commitments.
We're an out-of-network provider and supply detailed superbills you can submit for potential reimbursement. Many PPO plans cover acupuncture. We accept HSA and FSA cards.
Your first appointment is 90 minutes. We'll spend the first half in a detailed intake — sleep, digestion, emotions, history. The second half is your first treatment. Come having eaten lightly and wearing comfortable clothing.
Yes. I hold specialized training in obstetric acupuncture and work closely with OBs and midwives throughout San Diego. Acupuncture can help with morning sickness, pelvic pain, anxiety, and labor preparation.
